Special Event with St. Mary's County Animal Control - March 13Hello Animal Friends, This is a reminder about our special event this week with Animal Control. We have room for a few more, and there is still time to sign-up. Please join us in helping to set the tone for animal compassion in our county. RSVP to reserve your seat and to get directions to the event which will be held in Leonardtown. On Thursday, March 13, the St. Mary's County Animal Control agency will host a special gathering of animal friends and concerned citizens. At the event, Animal Control wardens will review emergency animal evacuation procedures, review cruelty and pick-up statistics, discuss day to day operations, and answer questions. Participants will also have the opportunity to see rescue equipment and Animal Control vans. At the event, the St. Mary's Animal Welfare League (SMAWL) will launch a new Spay and Neuter Voucher Program in partnership with St. Mary's County Animal Control. More good news! In addition, SMAWL and St. Mary's County Animal Control will announce its partnership to reach dogs in need in our community. At the event, one needy dog in our local community will receive a surprise gift. Come be a part of the good news in animal advocacy. There is room for only thirty participants.
