SMAWL Miracles

Another SMAWL Miracle has occurred this week!

For those of you who were fortunate enough to meet Stripes, the kitten, during her very short stay at PETCO, and even those who did not, I know you'll be happy to hear that she has now left the store! However, not before sending her loves, purrs, kisses, and thanks for all that each of you do every day for the homeless animals in our county. Stripes however, has moved on to better things---such as two children, a mommy, a daddy and another furry kitten all of her VERY OWN! Who could ask for anything more?

Her family visited her at PETCO and fell madly in love at first sight. They were very eager to get the adoption process started, so they could get Stripes home with them. On Wednesday afternoon, Stripes learned what it's like to say goodbye to a life of homelessness and hello to being a part of a real family. I know she hopes all of her furry SMAWL friends will be as fortunate as her some day soon, and with all of our wonderful SMAWL Volunteers on their team, I'm sure it's just a matter of time. Make us proud Stripes!
