SMAWL MiraclesMay 6, 2008 Hello Everyone, I am happy to share a very exciting SMAWL Miracle with you all. I'm sure you have seen our repeated pleas looking for a very special foster home first for Grandma Smokey and then later M &M, when we changed her name in attempt to try anything---even a name change to get hits on her. Well, M & M has been hit on and her man has fallen head over paws in love with her. On Sunday I had the fortunate opportunity to unite one cat and one man making them a very happy family. These are opportunities that do not come along often and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of this. M & M who now has her final name of Emma is living the life of luxury with just her and her dad where she is definitely the queen of her castle. One of the ironic pieces of this puzzle is that both Emma and her new daddy are both originally from West Virginia. Is it destiny that he went to our website and found her? He believes so. There is one thing that I am certain of and that is that these two needed each other very much right now and I'm thankful that I could be a part of this. Thanks to all of you who have been a part of Grandma Smokey/M & M's life since March of 2007 when we brought her into our program. Many of you know that she is a very special cat to me for personal reasons and will always hold a very special spot in my heart---as will her adopter. To unite these two will be a SMAWL moment that will never be forgotten for me. Without all of you who provide care, fundraising, whatever it is you do for SMAWL this would not have been pawsible. It takes all of us together to save just this one life. Thank you from Grandma Smokey/M&M and now finally and furever Emma! Emma sends: "Purr, purr, purr, I am a content lady now, as I have the love of my life that I've been seeking. I'm back in a home with my single person as I was meant to be. No little people or other four-legged creatures to compete with. Thank you SMAWL Volunteers for allowing me to hang my litter scoop on your door temporarily. Hugs and purrs to all!" |
