Volunteer Network - News: New PETCO Cat Managers

Hello Petco Volunteers,

I have a very important announcement to make. I am very happy to introduce our two new PETCO co-Managers ( I love a team effort )....drum roll please..... Gayle Cochran and Jennifer Shew....have graciously volunteered to take over as our new PETCO Cat Managers. They are currently in training and I will be working closely with them till they are ready to take over completely.

I have enjoyed working with and getting to know all of you. My family and I are hoping to move to Charleston, SC in the very near future (read as "when our house sells"), this has been in the works for quite some time and I am looking forward to moving into a new chapter in my life. The PETCO Program has been amazing to see develop. Our number of cat adoptions has tripled, since we moved our cats into PETCO. We have seen cats move through PETCO that we thought were with us for life. Although many times I wondered what I was thinking when I agreed to take this job on, now as I look back I don't regret a minute of it. I'm very proud to have been a part of this wonderful program and to be a part of SMAWL. But honestly, without each of you there's no way our PETCO Program would be there today, so though although I don't say it often enough, THANK YOU, I appreciate all you do to help keep our PETCO kitties well cared for twice a day, 365 days a year!!

So, with this I officially pass the paws on to Gayle and Jennifer and I'll let them chime in here with their contact info. And any additional info. that they would like to share.
